In addition to teaching the Alexander Technique and Voice Instruction, she has enjoyed many awards and prestige as a singer and actor. She has performed for over twenty years in Los Angeles, New York and all over the United States. Denise also holds a Master's Degree in Music from the prestigious Boston University College of Fine Arts with additional studies in Graz, Austria at the American Institute for Musical Studies (AIMS). In 2003, she was selected for and completed the intensive training coursework for The Art of Breathing, which is a Graduate Training Program, under the Direction of Jessica Wolf, at the American Center for the Alexander Technique in New York City.

Denise sincerely believes that the best in all of us is already there.  Sometimes, it is only waiting to be revealed when eliminating what is not necessary.

 

Denise Dumeyer was certified by the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT) in 1999. She currently teaches Singing Technique and Alexander at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts (PCPA), Acting Conservatory, in Santa Maria and recently in the Theatre Department of Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. Previously, she was on the faculty for Chapman University School of Music , California State University at Long Beach, Department of Theatre Arts and California State University at Fullerton, Theatre Department.
